Suitcases seem to be a recurring theme in my years... I have several more to paint. This memory was one of my earliest- a fear of being left behind once my parents made plans to move on.

My birthday wish
I wanted to paint 48 small paintings in honor of each year of my life leading up to my birthday. Truth is: I've grown beyond that. I just turned 49... in Paris. Continuing the celebration of my growth through all the perils of my age, like divorce, memories, financial challenges, I journey from birthday to birthday. Now 50 and a new stranger in Miami!
