Flowers in memory

After making it through the winter I was surprised by the sadness that spring brought when I smelled the flowers I had planted for my husband. This is a large painting with maps and layers... acrylic on wood, 24 x 32 inches

overwhelmed by the 40 pages of separation agreement necessary for a divorce- all I can do is paint it out... one a day for 12 days.

Overwhelmed

by the divorce documents... painting is how I work through them. I guess you can say at 25 I got married, at 30 I started wearing make up, at 35 I had my last child, at 48 I started feeling my knees. At 49 I was divorced.

Frontier in the bedroom

HOW does this sit... ? There is so much weight to the bedroom. I am never alone with all the memories and voices in my head. Being newly single is not easy. I feel freakish.

It was so easy. I do not have a title for her...
